Standard GPS Repeater
Designed to re-radiate GPS signals within a building. Applications include :
- Demonstations - for instance where a shop would like to demonstrate their GPS receivers without having to step outside
- Test - production or repair of GPS kit within a workshop. Can be used in aircraft hangers, boatyards, and garages to verify inbuilt GPS equipment.
- Hot standby - keeping police/fire/ambulance vehicle and handheld equipment in view of the satellite constellation when inside buildings, thereby being prepared for instant use.
The target GPS receiver will receive the GPS signal anywhere in the building but only report one location in this instance - the location of the GPS repeater aerial. If the requirement is to locate the equipment's location within the building, then the GiPS system should be used.
